Periphery indexes apps by hostname suffix: every hostname under one of the suffixes below belongs to that provider. The slug is the value the provider: filter takes and the value the API returns in the provider field.

Custom domains

Only hostnames under these suffixes are indexed. An app served only under its own domain is not in the index. Most apps keep their provider hostname alongside the custom domain, and that hostname usually carries the domain in its slug, which is how a domain search finds them.
