An app page is the full record for one hostname. Open it by clicking a hostname in the results, or directly at https://console.periphery.exposed/app/<hostname>.
  • Favicon. Click it to find clones.
  • Hostname and the status badge: the HTTP status recorded at the last snapshot, green for 2xx, blue for 3xx, orange for 4xx, red for 5xx.
  • Title of the page, when it had one.
  • visit site opens the live app in a new tab.
  • Provider chip: the platform the app runs on.
  • last seen: how long ago Periphery last visited the host and found it alive.

Credentials

The heading lists the detectors that found a verified credential. On the Plus and Pro plans the section lists every finding, verified or not, with its detector and the raw string. On Free it shows only a lock line for the verified findings; unverified findings are not shown.

The visible text of the page, as a search engine would read it. This is the text that free-text queries and the domain: mention signal match against.

Snapshot

view raw HTML opens the page source captured at the last snapshot. It is what the credential scan ran over.

What last seen means

Last seen is the time of the last visit that found the host alive. Usually that visit is a full snapshot, and everything on the page describes it. When the browser could not load the page and only a plain HTTP request answered, or the host resolved but did not answer at all, last seen is refreshed while the screenshot, text, email addresses, and findings stay from the last successful snapshot, so they can be older than the last seen age suggests. Apps are re-snapshotted on a rolling basis; there is no fixed schedule.

Dead hosts

When a snapshot finds that a hostname no longer resolves, or that the provider reports the deployment as gone, the app is marked dead. Dead apps leave the search results, their app page answers “app not found”, and the API returns 404 for them.
