# Sign in

> Create an account or sign in to the Periphery console with Google or an emailed magic link.

The console lives at [console.periphery.exposed](https://console.periphery.exposed). There is no separate sign-up step: the first sign-in creates your account.

    Go to [console.periphery.exposed/login](https://console.periphery.exposed/login). Any page of the console sends you there when you are signed out.

  <Step title="Choose Google or a magic link">
    **Continue with Google** signs you in with the email address of your Google account.

    **Email me a magic link** sends a sign-in link to the address you type. Open it in the same browser. The link works once and expires after 15 minutes; if it has expired, request a new one.

    You land on the search page. Your account is on the Free plan, which every new account starts on: unlimited searches, no card. See [Plans and limits](/plans) for what each plan includes.

  Magic-link requests are limited to a few per minute per address. If the email does not arrive, check your spam folder before requesting another.

## Your account page

Open the account menu in the top bar and choose **Settings** to reach [console.periphery.exposed/account](https://console.periphery.exposed/account). It shows the address you are signed in with, your plan and what it includes, and your searches this month. On the Plus and Pro plans it is also where you generate and rotate your [API key](/api/authentication).

## Signing out

**Log out** in the account menu ends the session on that browser.
